How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We are getting married in Caddo Lake State Park in Karnack Texas. To get there, travel north of Karnack one mile on State Highway 43 to FM 2198; go east for 0.5 miles to Park Road 2. The park is 15 miles northeast of Marshall. For GPS navigation, please use the address 245 Park Road 2 Karnack, TX 75661

How do I get into the park?

Answer

Caddo Lake State Park charges a daily entrance fee. The cost is $4 per adult, and children ages 12 and under are free. If you have a Texas State Parks Pass, your entrance fee is waived. Fees are paid upon arrival at the park entrance.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is available at the park; however, space is limited. We kindly ask that guests carpool whenever possible.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. Parking near the ceremony site is limited, and additional time may be needed if parking reaches capacity.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone, but due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests whose names are listed on the invitation. Thank you so much for your understanding—we’re so grateful to celebrate with you.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The weather may be warm and humid, so please dress comfortably. At the request of the groom, men are asked to wear a collared shirt. Shorts are fine, but please avoid athletic wear.

Do you have any lodging recommendations?

Answer

For those looking for a hotel, Marshall, TX is the closest town with the most options. If you’d like to stay closer to the park, Caddo Lake State Park offers campsites and screened shelters: Full Hookup Campsites – $25/night, includes sewer and water hookups (tents not allowed). Campsites with Electricity – $20/night, tent must fit on a 15'×15' pad. Campsites with Water – $10/night, tent must fit on a 15'×15' pad. Screened Shelters – $25/night, 12'×16' enclosure with electricity and an outdoor grill. Are there park rules I need to know about if I stay in the park?

Answer

If you’re staying in the park, please keep a few important rules in mind: Firewood Quarantine – Due to local regulations, you cannot bring firewood from outside the county. If you plan to have a campfire, please purchase firewood locally within the county. Alcohol – Open consumption of alcohol is not allowed on park grounds. Quiet Hours – The park observes quiet hours starting at 10:00 PM. Following these guidelines helps keep the park safe and enjoyable for everyone.
