Our story began where all great love stories do: at The Mayflower Grove Grill; an unassuming start that somehow turned into forever. In the summer of 2014, we went on our first official date to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Cory’s pick — true romance at its finest). This proved early on that love doesn’t need fancy beginnings…just good company. On October 3, 2014, over a bowl of popcorn at the 99 Restaurant, Cory asked Kellie to “be his girlfriend.” That day became our dating anniversary and years later, it felt only right to select that very same date for our wedding. We’ll be getting married on our twelfth dating anniversary, still choosing each other, just with a few more life chapters behind us. Pursuing our higher education in Boston gave us the perfect backdrop to grow as individuals and as a couple. Some of our favorite memories are those exploring the city together and trying new things to step out of our comfort zones. We met amazing friends and found new passions that have shaped who we are. Over the years, we have learned how to navigate life as a team. We supported one another through the loss of our beloved grandparents and Cory’s father, John. As Cory entered the workforce and Kellie went on to pursue her doctorate in occupational therapy, we found new ways to be there for each other despite a greater physical distance between us. Cory was Kellie’s “rock” through graduate school and could always be counted on to make food for study sessions, lend a listening ear, and act as a pretend patient. Our partnership has shown up in everyday ways too, as we continue to influence each other for the better. Cory enjoys reading more and has developed a love for tea and seafood. Kellie now actually eats real dinner every night (not just frozen food from Trader Joe’s) thanks to Cory’s undeniable #chefstatus. Since July 2023, we’ve been living together and loving a life filled with winter ski and snowboard trips, summer beach days, and countless adventures. Our travels have taken us from Italy and Portugal to California, the Bahamas, and all throughout the Northeast. In April 2025, we visited St. John, where Cory asked Kellie to marry him, turning an already unforgettable place into one that we will cherish forever. We deeply value our roles as Auntie and Uncle and the traditions that ground us: annual zoo trips with Hallie, apple picking with Lauren and Stephen, pie procurement for Judy’s Thanksgiving table, Christmas light scouting with PHOP subs in tow, and of course our breakfast dates at Strawberry Fair. At the heart of it all is a deep love, a steady partnership, and a shared excitement for the life we’re building together. We’re so grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you. 🤍
