Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
Omaha has one of the best zoos in the world. Outside of a world-renowned conservation program, Omaha’s Zoo offers a variety of travel-worthy experiences. Walk through the world’s largest indoor desert and the largest indoor rainforest in North America. Explore exotic locations and underground caves to see thousands of animals from across the globe in their natural habitat. With more than 7 acres of indoor exhibits, Omaha’s Zoo is a year-round must-do. We love to go on date nights to Late Night at the Zoo, and our favorite exhibits are the Red Panda and the Shark Tunnel.
Lauritzen Gardens
Lauritzen Gardens is an urban oasis of beauty and tranquility and is one of the region's most beautiful and educational cultural facilities. The 100-acre botanical garden features a rose garden, children's garden, model railroad garden and Victorian garden. The visitor and education center includes a library, classrooms, a community room, and a great hall.
Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront
The Gene Leahy Mall is Omaha's iconic downtown park featuring a performance pavilion, a state-of-the-art playground, interactive water features, a sculpture garden, and a sizeable dog park.
Village Pointe Shopping Center
Village Pointe Shopping Center, is Omaha's premier shopping center and features more than 60 exceptional specialty retail, dining, and entertainment offerings. Complete with an outdoor amphitheatre, strolling walkways, ample common areas, lush landscaping, and distinctive architecture, Village Pointe is a great destination to gather with family and friends. The open-air design of the center replicates a nostalgic "Main Street" shopping district where customers can enjoy cozy fireplaces during the fall and winter, interactive water features during the warmer seasons and convenient store-front customer parking.
Memorial Stadium
Tony and Kelli are avid Husker Football fans, and because the wedding is on Friday, there is time to catch a Husker Football Game while in town. Nebraska will take on Houston Christian on Saturday, September 13 in Lincoln, NE.
Ika Ramen
This is where we had our first date. Visit one of the three locations, although the Benson location is our favorite!
Hiro 88 West Maple
We love to go to reverse Happy Hour and really enjoy the Hot n' Sour Soup, the Sweet Chili Crab Roll, and the Hiro Special Roll!
