Then one day, Spencer said "Lisa, what do you think about Kelli?" I was secretly overjoyed and spoke well of her. The rest (as you can see) ... is well ... a happily ever after! Feeling so blessed to know them both!"

I've known Spencer almost 20 years and we have been best buds till today. Every time I called Spencer (dude left the land of 10,000 lakes to live on the other side of the country) he mentioned Kelli, I could tell that by the way he talked about her that it was something different and special. So excited and blessed to be apart of their wedding!

My favorite memory of the Bride? I watched her push through and conquer the Old Rag hike after being sick for weeks!! It was then that I saw the dedication she gives to the things she loves and the challenges she faces in life. She’s a tough cookie!

I first met Spencer and Kelli at the church singles group knowing that their friendship would be a close one based on Kelli's patience and Spencer's outgoing personality. When I discovered their friendship became more, I knew it was a perfect match based on how they were friends with Kelli being the more restrained friend and Spencer being so outgoing and passionate. I know their marriage will last because their differences glue them together because they balance each other out and I know God will bless this faithful couple.

One of my favorite memories with both the Bride and Groom is when I went to my first Escape room with them and other close friends. Yes we escaped, with almost 30 minutes to spare, lol! But then to see the engagement of my two friend was later done at an Escape Room...it was a full circle memory.

Kelli, Spencer, and I (along with everyone else from the DC area) we’re a part of a single’s group organized through our church in 2017. The relationship between Spencer and I started as a friendly rivalry and we’d often annoy one another. Over time, we became good friends. Spencer became a brother that I could trust with anything. I knew it was love probably before they did. A small group of friends went to see a movie together—Kingsman 2—I saw the way they looked at each other.

I have known Kelli the entirety of her life. First comment “She looks like ET.” My most vivid memories of Kelli are of uncountable fights and unmentionably stupid things we did as children. But, she is as endearing as ET. Glad that was the first comparison I made for her after first seeing her. I knew it was love when we were at the zoo when her and Spencer visited and whenever she did any of her ridiculous things he looked at her the same way my wife looks at me when I have my own ridiculous “Hayes” moments.

When did I know it was love? I saw he went through all that trouble to plan the engagement. I could tell he put so much time and effort into the escape room and could tell he was so nervous by the way Kelli was suspecting that he was acting strange and insisting they dress up for an escape room event. I also knew when he started cooking for her and making her dinner at his place.
