What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:00 pm for our ceremony. Our ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 pm.

Are Children Invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’re keeping our celebration mostly adults-only. Children are welcome only if explicitly included on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail/formal resort attire. Formal resort attire typically means cocktail party attire with a relaxed, seaside twist. For men, a suit is appropriate. Women can choose from cocktail or floor-length dresses and pantsuits. Fun colors and prints are encouraged!

will the ceremony and reception be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors on the garden terrace. The cocktail hour will be held both indoors and outdoors, followed by dinner and dancing in the ballroom. The reception will feature both indoor and outdoor spaces for your enjoyment. While the weather will be warm during the day, heaters will be provided in outdoor spaces as it cools down throughout the night.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, the venue, La Valencia, is a hotel. However, there are multiple hotels within walking distance, as well. Please see the travel tab for recommendations. Airbnbs and Vrbos are highly recommended!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Valet service is available at the venue if you choose to drive. Parking is $18 for the day, and $30 for overnight valet for guests.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, transportation is not provided. Many hotels are within walking distance of La Valencia. If you choose to stay outside of La Jolla, we recommend calling an Uber or Lyft!
