It all started with some sunscreen. One sunny June day at a college apartment pool, James came up to Kelli and asked if she had any sunscreen. Kelli laughed, thought it was a pickup line until she noticed he was as red as a lobster! She decided he needed the sunscreen and handed it to James. He then says - I hate to be awkward, but do you mind putting it on my back? And the rest is history.

James went above and beyond with every detail for this special weekend. He began prepping months in advance and chose a long weekend in November when Kelli initiated planning a trip to their favorite place - Jupiter. He invited both sides of the family and closest friends to be part of the surprise. With parents and sister hiding around the corner, James popped the question at the top of the lighthouse overlooking the intracoastal. The surprise did not end there. After the proposal, Kelli asked if he had told her best friends and what do you know...Kelli looked right around the corner and there they all were ready to embrace us, pop champagne, admire the ring, and to celebrate the newly engaged couple. Next, we headed to a nice dinner on the water and then to a house party to celebrate with cake and drinks afterwards. It was a day we will never forget!
