We met through mutual friends during the summer of 2013 while Kelli was home from college during summer break. We took an interest in each other one of the first times we ever had an actual conversation in the living room of our friend Kirsten's house... and have kept an eye on each other ever since. That week, we went to the Kensington street dance where we danced to Fishin' in the Dark and had our first kiss! And I guess the rest is history!

It's no secret that Kelli had been "patiently" waiting for a proposal from Grant for a while ;) Grant ordered the ring in early September and had it sent to his cousins house. When he came home form working on the road in western North Dakota for 10 days, he picked up the ring. He decided he couldn't wait or keep the secret if he had the ring at home so about 2 minutes after he walked in the door while Kelli was folding laundry, he got down on one knee in the living room and popped the question! Kelli actually thought he might be joking and didn't believe him right away (he's been known to mess with her more often than not) until he took the ring box out of his pocket and opened it! He picked out the most beautiful ring and Kelli said YES!
