We’re getting married!

We were at a mutual friend’s house at the time of meeting in May of 2014. Not long after we first met Tony found Kelli on Facebook and added her as a friend. They met up once at Beaver lake in July of 2014. Tony was on a bike ride and Kelli was trying to fish. Throughout the years, Tony would occasionally message Kelli and they would have small conversations. In August of 2017, Kelli was thinking about joining the marines and made some snaps on her snapchat story about it. Tony knew she was wanting to enlist for all the wrong reasons so he messaged Kelli. At the time, he was over the road in the semi so they made plans to meet up and go out for dinner when he got home. A day or two later when he got home, they went to Plaza Morena and took the time to start getting to know each other. Tony quickly learned that Kelli was in a very bad place in her life and tried to do the best he could to help her out and get her back up on her feet. A couple days later, Kelli went in the semi with Tony to Pennsylvania. Kelli fell in love with the trucker life and made unforgettable memories on this trip. A week later Kelli started developing strong feelings for Tony and she let him know one night when she had too much to drink. Haha! That night she would not let Tony go to sleep until he asked her out. It was about 2am on September 2, 2017 when Tony asked Kelli to be his girlfriend. This is where their story officially began as a couple.

Let me start off with saying that I never saw it coming! Just a week or two before the proposal I was throwing hints at Tony and he did such a great job at playing a poker face and completely deflecting my thoughts and questions. December 24 is also my birthday. Every year on my birthday or also known as Christmas Eve, we go to my mom’s to celebrate Christmas and open presents! Here we are at my moms house sitting around in a circle taking turns opening Christmas gifts. My mom told me to save the gift from Tony for last! We went around the circle opening all of our gifts and leaving Tony’s present to me to the very end. At last, it was time to open the gift from him. It was a box, inside of a box, inside of a box. Courtesy to my mom’s wrapping trying to hide what was inside of the box! She was in on the proposal the whole time! Finally, I get to the last box and I noticed it was a jewelry box. I was thinking he must have gotten me a pair of earrings or something. No way did I honestly see a proposal coming!! As I opened the jewelry box and the ring appeared, Tony got down on one knee, he plopped landen on his knee, and asked me to be his wife. I was in complete shock and thought he was just messing with me! Best birthday ever! It meant so much to me to have my family in on it and our son apart of the proposal. I loved his proposal and it was so special! Finally, I get to plan the wedding of my dreams.
