Canyonlands Field Airport

Moab is out there. We have a small airport (Canyolands Field) which is worth checking. Grand Junction, Colorado is a 1 hour and 45 minute drive East. Salt Lake City, Utah is 4 hours North. Phoenix, Arizona, Denver, Colorado, and Las Vegas, Nevada are all within a day's drive of Moab also.

Camping

Moab has free camping on public lands within 45 minutes of town. There are numerous fee campgrounds administered by the Bureau of Land Management and other agencies. These campgrounds are mostly first-come, first-serve. If you're thinking about camping, let us know if you have questions about specific spots.

Lodging

Moab has numerous (too many) hotels and overnight rentals. Make sure you look at the map of where an overnight rental is (if you're not looking for a hotel) as many are sneakily right next to busy Highway 191.

Public Transit

This is the rural West, but some public transit options are available. Amtrack does run a train from Salt Lake City to Green River, UT (1 hour from Moab). Bus options are available to Moab from Salt Lake and other regional cities.
