Question

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

All wedding activities will be located at Peace Lodge Waterfall Park. The ceremony will be in their nature park (about 1/10th mile walk), at the base of a waterfall. There is a lot of stairs going up/down to the waterfall so please be mindful when choosing shoes.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony is at 2:30pm, so please plan to arrive by 2 to allow time to get through the park.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear what you are most comfortable in. Dress code is tropical, semi formal.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Weather in February is usually in the 70s during the day, but drops down to 55-60 degrees at night. The wedding is in the mountains (5,500ft elevation) and rainforest, so there is always a chance for a rain shower. For most accurate weather info, use Santa Barbara, Costa Rica location on your weather app.

Yes, on the day of the wedding transportation will be provided from the Poas Volcano Lodge to the venue, and back for guests who are not staying at the Peace Lodge. If taking the shuttle, please check in with us for when it will be departing.

Question

Will the reception be indoors our out?

Answer

Dinner and reception will be held in an open-air restaurant (Tortillas Restaurant) at the Peace Lodge. This restaurant is covered (in case of rain) but has an open side to view the mountains.
