Let's celebrate!

Kelley and Max both attended Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), and crossed paths a few times. (Once at MCLA Public Safety while Max was working as the dispatch and Kelley popped by for her van certification. He took a message and wrote her name down as her current Facebook profile name, "Kelley Bee".) In Kelley's last year at MCLA, Max came to her apartment to hang out with their mutual friends a few times. Although he didn't realize Kelley was flirting with him at first, he soon realized when Kelley asked him out on a date. Their first date was in Williamstown, MA at Hops and Vines and their second was at Max's New Years family party. What a way to be introduced! Soon after the first week of talking over the phone, and meeting up in person, Kelley and Max knew they were partners for life.

Being that Kelley and Max lived in North Adams for quite some time, and that they both love hiking and the outdoors, Max decided to bring Kelley to Mount Greylock to pop the big question. It was a few days after Christmas, so both Kelley and Max were feeling cheerful...and happy to be on break from school! Max rallied Kelley to go out for a winter camping adventure, and Kelley was excited, but moved like a sloth to get out the door. Once they were finally packed, Kelley (incidentally) snapped a picture of Max with all of the gear before they left for their adventurous evening (Kelley was really excited to use her new snowshoes Max gifted her). Although Max wanted to be on the mountain for sunset, they arrived at the base of Mount Greylock in the dark. They started on their hike and made it one mile up the mountain before Max mentioned that he couldn't find the trail he was looking for. He asked Kelley to look in his side pocket for the GPS. Kelley opened up the pocket he directed her to and seeing that the GPS was not there, and it was just a box, Kelley put it back and mentioned that she saw him put the GPS in the other outer pocket (Kelley always knows where Max leaves his stuff). Max laughed and said, "Take out whatever is in that pocket!" Kelley obliged and gave Max the box as he bent down on one knee...
