Kelley is endlessly kind and full of joy, with a natural talent for making every gathering more lively and for helping everyone feel welcome and at ease. Goofy and occasionally forgetful, she somehow always knows exactly what to say to brighten a moment or ease a difficult situation. Her love extends far beyond people to animals of all kinds—no creature is beyond her care, especially the small ones, and penguins, of course. Along with these qualities, Kelley is deeply determined and intelligent, dedicating years of hard work and commitment to school and her career in pursuit of her goal of becoming one of the best nurses out there. While she may not yet hold the title officially, her compassion, nurturing spirit, and natural caregiving abilities already rival those of many who do.
Kevin Scanlan
Groom
Kevin is deeply kind and incredibly loving with a strong, no-nonsense personality. There's a quiet strength to him, the kind that makes you feel safe just being near him. He's deeply compassionate, especially when it comes to animals, often going out of his way to show them care and attention. Though he may come off tough at first, those who know him well see the softness and loyalty that lie just beneath the surface. He's the kind of person who loves fiercely, protects boldly, and lives life with both strength and heart.

Maid of Honor
Katherine is the sister and maid of honor to the bride. Despite being only a year older, Kelley and Katherine were raised more like twins—inseparable and sharing everything to the point of near codependency. They shared a room for their entire childhood, and in many ways, she’s still Kelley's other half (the evil one). She is incredibly smart, with a deep love for animals, science, and all things curious and complex. She’s also the most empathetic person you could ever meet. She drives her sister crazy on a regular basis, but there’s no one Kelley loves or trusts more deeply to stand by her side (besides her future husband of course!)
Iqulah Malcolm
Best Man
Iqulah is the groom’s best friend and, in every way that matters, a brother. Their friendship began way back in grade school, when Iqulah introduced himself to Kevin in class and the two became fast friends. Over the years, their bond only grew stronger through shared hobbies and a mutual love of video games, technology, and books. Even when life took Iqulah nearly 1,500 miles away for a time, the distance never diminished their friendship. Iqulah is a kind, strong, and dependable person—always there when you need him, endlessly caring toward his friends, and a devoted companion to his little shadow, Nero the cat. He is genuinely a good person, the kind everyone loves after just ten minutes of being around him.

Bridesmaid
Meet the bride's best friend and bridesmaid—a human firecracker with a heart of gold. She has always been the life of every party and the glue of every friendship. Energetic, spontaneous, and always ready to get up and go, she somehow balances being the ultimate fun-seeker with being the most loyal, loving, and fiercely caring person you’ll ever meet. Just don’t ask her to sit still—it’s not in her skill set.
Aaron Voog
Groomsman/Father of the Bride
Aaron went from bachelor life to husband and father of three teenagers in the blink of an eye, embracing it all with love, humor, and unwavering dedication. He’s loyal, trusting, and always puts his family first—even if he’s somehow late to everything, no matter how much time he has. He’s built a strong bond with Kevin, who sees him not only as a father figure but also as a true friend. Just be careful bringing up aliens—one question will turn into a TED Talk you’ll never escape.

Bridesmaid
Laurie is the aunt of the bride and is the definition of resilience—life has thrown her countless challenges, but she rises every time, stronger and more determined than before. Her compassion runs deep, always showing up for others with unwavering loyalty and love. She’s not only family, but also the kind of friend everyone wishes they had: supportive, and full of heart. That’s exactly why she’s standing beside Kelley as a bridesmaid on her wedding day!
Michael Thomas
Groomsman
The older brother of the bride grew up completely outnumbered by women: mom, two younger sisters (and even an old lady kitty), and now he is still outnumbered by his girlfriend and daughter. Somehow, he’s survives it all with his effortlessly hilarious sense of humor, which we absolutely could not live without. He passed his comedic genius down to his daughter, and we love him even more for it (though we’ll never tell him that directly). He drives his sisters and mother absolutely insane, but they're so close that it only made sense to include him for this very special day!
Zendaya Thomas
Flower Girl
Zennie is the niece and flower girl to the bride and groom is the perfect mix of her parents—goofy, spontaneous, and wild like her dad, with all the sass, attitude, and carefree spirit of her mom. She keeps everyone on their toes and has facial expressions that belong in a comedy show—they never fail to make everyone laugh. Kelley and Kevin love her like she’s their own (and honestly might steal her one day). She brings so much joy, energy, and chaos in the best possible way, and they couldn’t imagine this day without her!
