We met just like any other couple would during the Covid 19 Pandemic… on a dating app. We both hadn’t really been looking for much… met some cool people here and there but nothing clicked. I ( Kelley) came upon Joseph’s profile and instantly thought, he looks like my next boyfriend. I can see it. So I went ahead and did what most women are nervous to do and I shot my shot first. I reached out… made a joke about a song lyric that looking back I don’t think Joseph understood the reference ( embarrassing for me) but I still hoped he would message me back. He obviously did and we literally have not stopped talking ever since that day. We went on our first date to water tower (if you know you know) and instead of meeting inside he decided to get into my car before going in. We were both so nervous we had brought our own drink for before walking in unplanned. Once we got a laugh out of that the nerves slowly faded away and conversation was flowing until the restaurant closed. We talked about deep topics, humor, music, childhood stories and a lot of 90’s nostalgia. He asked me if I wanted to hang out the following day and the next day.. and the next day. Little did I know he would spend the whole weekend with me and meet all of my room mates and best friends. It was all so fast but felt so natural with each other. Fast forward, we move in together after about 1 year together then decided to venture off to San Antonio, Texas for two years. We had some great times in Texas and have really created a special bond over our journey over there and the memories we share from our Texas home. We decided to move back to northern California after choosing to start a family. We now have our beautiful two year old, Cameron and our two road dogs aka our beloved kitty’s that have been with us since the beginning of US. Life has thrown many things our way but time and time again we choose each other and it all started from a silly dating app during a statewide lock down. Our love story is fun, adventurous and always growing. We are so happy to be able to share our day with everyone and excited to celebrate our love. We truly hope you all know how much you mean to us.
