How It All Began It was spring 2022 in Las Vegas, a work conference, of all places , where Darius and Kelley first crossed paths. What started as a chance encounter quickly turned into something neither of them could ignore. By June, Darius made it official and asked Kelley to be his girlfriend. From that moment, it's been a full-on whirlwind. Building a Life Together As it turned out, both Darius and Kelley were already calling Atlanta home, they just hadn't met yet. Once they did, they hit it off almost instantly, and the rest, as they say, is history. Together they've navigated career changes, celebrated milestones, and cheered Kelley on as she bought her first home. They've worked hard at blending their worlds, merging friend groups, embracing family, and building a strong, solid unit every step of the way. And of course, Darius has done a stellar job winning over the most important roommate, Kelley's shih-poo, Leo. The Adventures These two don't sit still for long. From the beaches of Playa del Carmen and the shores of Jamaica, where Kelley celebrated her 30th birthday surrounded by her family's roots. To the ski slopes of Park City and Denver, the sun-soaked coast of Bodrum, Turkey, and beyond, they've made a habit of exploring the world together and collecting memories along the way. The Proposal Valentine's Day 2026 brought a little magic to Brooklyn. After a week of snow forecasts, the weather did something unexpected, it turned warm, just for the day, almost like it knew something big was coming. Darius suggested they head down to the Brooklyn Bridge to "take some photos." Kelley, dressed perfectly in her pink fur coat and pink Ugg slippers, had no idea what was waiting for her. As she took in the view of Kelley's favorite city, Darius got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. She said yes. And then, in true Darius fashion, friends and family who had secretly flown and driven into Brooklyn to celebrate the couple in the most joyful surprise of Kelley's life. What's Next On May 7, 2027, Darius and Kelley will say "I do" at the beautiful Ashton Gardens in Sugar Hill, Georgia, surrounded by the people who have loved and supported them every step of the way.
