Crossroads Hotel

A new, popular destination in Kansas City's Crossroads district and the hotel where the wedding party is staying. There are two bars and a two restaurants in this trendy hotel. XR is the lobby bar serving craft cocktails and small bites including wood fired pizza. Percheron is the roof top bar overlooking the city skyline - one of the best views in the city. The staff will be happy to direct you to the elevator providing rooftop access. Lazia is a posh Italian eatery attached to the hotel. Ben and Kelley suggest getting an appetizer and drinks on the rooftop. You do not have to be staying at the hotel to enjoy any of its features!

National WWI Museum and Memorial

The best view of downtown KC! Opened to the public as the Liberty Memorial museum in 1926, it was designated in 2004 by the United States Congress as America's official museum dedicated to World War I. The National World War I Museum tells the story of the Great War and related global events from their origins before 1914 through the 1918 armistice and 1919 Paris Peace Conference.

Kelley gets the bibimbap from Sura Eats and Ben gets the Detriot style pizza from Providence Pizzeria.

Located next door to the wedding venue, Messenger Coffee brews craft coffees, caffeinated beverages and fresh pastries. Grab breakfast or lunch made with locally-sourced, farm fresh ingredients. This is a great place to get a little work done before a weekend full of play.

Double Shift Brewing Company

Crossroads (B&K's favorite area in KC) has 5 breweries within walking distance - Double shift, Border Brewery, Torn Label Brewery, Brewery Emperial, and Casual Animal Brewery. Ben and Kelley love to bring visitors to KC on brewery tours in this area. If you can make it through all five breweries, you have done a great job. Try the Monk and Honey at Torn Label and if you get hungry, get some pizza across the street from Grinders!

Mildred's Coffeehouse

With an abundant variety of scratch made baked goods, extensive specialty coffee and espresso bar, notably delicious sandwiches, salads and soups, Mildred’s has all the bases covered. The “Standard Breakfast Sandwich” is known to many as being the ultimate breakfast sandwich in the city.

River Market

Visit the region's largest Farmers Market on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Bussling River Market is an epicenter for global eateries, gourmet grocery stores and indie boutiques. You will find surround pavilions hosting local farmers and craftsman selling their local produce, flowers and goods. B&K always stop by Brown & Loe or The Farmhouse for brunch after browsing the market.

Amigoni Urban Winery

Amigoni is located just five minutes west of downtown KC, Missouri in the West Bottoms district. This urban winery is in a transformed Newspaper building, offering five tastings for $8. Enjoy a glass and visit the barrel room where they age their wines.

Kansas City Power & Light District

The buzzing Power & Light District is home to the Sprint Center which draws big crowds supporting the local sports teams and concert goers. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

15 blocks, 100 shops, 30 restaurants. B&K recommend Gram&Dun for drinks and appetizers on the patio. Kelley gets the basil smash and Ben gets the G&D Old-Fashioned. Split the french onion dumplings the homemade potato chips.

Chicken N Pickle- Kansas City

A unique, indoor/outdoor entertainment complex includes a casual restaurant and sports bar. However, the main attraction is the pickleball courts as well as a variety of yard games. The facility is big enough space to kick back and relax with a large group. Ben will be the first to admit Kelley kicks his butt in pickleball.

Boulevard Brewing Tours & Recreation Center

KC's most popular and well known brewery. Visit the fully restored 1929 building fit with an incredible 10,000 sq ft. beer hall offering cold pours of a variety of beers made in house. You are welcome to take a free, guided tour of the entire facility. You will learn about the process of making craft beer with a few samples provided along the way. If you plan to take the tour, go early in the day or call ahead to save a spot. B&K's favorite Boulevard beer is the Tank 7.
