We're renting out an entire restaurant, Glass House, for Saturday evening. We will have full run of the restaurant, the bar, and a small park immediately adjoining the restaurant where we will be hosting lawn games (weather permitting). We're aiming for a fun cocktail party rather than a traditional wedding reception. Think more "drinks and a chance to reconnect with people" and less "father/daughter dance and bouquet toss".
It is going to consist of heavy passed appetizers and buffet/food stations rather than a formal sit-down service.
That's right. There will be plenty of seating, but none of it will be strictly assigned.
5:15pm is a pretty safe bet for an arrival time

Yes, but it closed to new reservations on July 14th.
As of July 30th Massachusetts has advised that fully vaccinated individuals with compromised immune systems should wear a mask while indoors. If you are not immunocompromised AND you are fully vaccinated by the day of the wedding (meaning at least 2 weeks have elapsed since your final dose of vaccine), then you do not fall under this updated guidance. Fully vaccinated people do not have to wear masks, but certainly may do so if they'd like.
As of right now, no, but this is not an issue because all guests are at least partially vaccinated.
As of July 27th Cambridge issued a mask advisory that is aligned with CDC recommendations. Our wedding will have a masking policy as detailed above. If you are feeling sick or have been exposed to a confirmed case of covid within 14 days of the wedding (and you have not subsequently tested negative) please do not attend.
As of August 11th 98.53% of the guests who have RSVPd 'yes' are fully vaccinated; 1.47% of the guests are partially vaccinated. Kelley, Alex, and all the vendors are also fully vaccinated!
Yes, the ceremony will be fully outdoors (rain or shine) and the reception will feature both indoor and outdoor space. You could feasibly spend almost the entire wedding outdoors if you so choose.
We ask that everyone please leave the photo and video taking of the ceremony to the professionals but, once the ceremony is over, snap away! Please use the hashtags #TeamKellex and #KellexWedding
If the weather is nice and people are up for it we'll be heading to State Park to keep the party going. It is very walkable from Glass House, so we can all head over together. Bonus: it has a great outdoor patio!
