In January 2019, Emilie and Jake ran into each other in a hallway in Whitman on Syracuse University's campus. They have been inseparable since!
Syracuse University opened it's doors in 1870 with the Hall of Languages being the first building completed in 1873. 150 years later, Jake would propose to Emilie in front of the iconic building. Below are some of the most significant locations on campus for the couple: 1. Former Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity house (777 Ostrom Ave) - Emilie met Jake here back in April 2018. 2. Whitman School of Management - Emilie and Jake ran into each other again, sparking their relationship, in January 2019 3. Corner of Marshall Street and University Ave - Emilie and Jake would often meet here between work and classes 4. Hall of Languages - Where Jake proposed to Emilie! 5. The Kissing Bench - The lore is if you sit on the bench alone, you will be alone for the rest of your life BUT if you kiss your significant other on the bench, you’ll marry and live happily ever after! 6. Hendricks Chapel - Location of Emilie and Jake's Ceremony. Built in 1930, this Chapel serves all faiths.
