We both had the same thinking to save money and attend a community college - Firelands Community College. We had a couple of classes together and one day I, Cassidy, decided to walk up to Josh and introduce myself. I had no intentions of being more than homework friends. As fate would have it homework dates quickly turned into lunch dates. Which, of course, quickly turned into real dates. When I got home on Jan 12, 2017, Josh was sleeping on the couch with the TV on. Some things he was saying that day didn’t add up, so I was looking around the house for a sign thinking it may be something romantic. I ran to the kitchen counter and didn't see anything. Then I thought, must be something you can't keep out so I looked in the fridge - nothing - but then looked in the freezer.... and there it was. My favorite ice cream with a piece of notebook paper attached to it that read "will you be my girlfriend?" So, of course, I grab a spoon, throw away the paper, crack open the lid, wake him up, and proceed to eat the ice cream. His eyes got big when he realized what I was eating and that I hadn't said anything which made me laugh. Then I said, "Thanks for the ice cream.... oh, and yes I'll be your girlfriend." We moved in together when I finished up school at BGSU main campus. Then, after graduating college, we took a leap and moved across the country to Florida. After just a few months here in Florida, on a beautiful sunny beach day, he popped the question. Ever since, we've been planning a wedding and talking about the next chapters of our lives together. Needless to say, we're so excited to be Mr. & Mrs. and look forward to sharing this chapter in our lives with all of you!
