SEA -> KEF 8/14/26

We are taking Alaska flight IBCVLB, seats 22 A and B This flight leaves 8/14/26 at 6:35 pm We will land in Iceland August 15th, 2026 at 9:00 am Iceland Air and Alaska Air both have nonstop flights to KEF. This airport is just outside of the main town Reykjavik. I have flown Iceland air before and it is great! We plan to jet off to our honeymoon on 8/19 but this is TBD.

Rental Car

I am not familiar with public transportation in Iceland but use it if it is available, otherwise a rental car might be necessary. Please consider tourist sites are far from each other in Iceland and the wedding is about 2.5 hours north from the main town Reykjavik. Prices range from $50 to $150+/day depending on the company and type of vehicle. I rented a lime green Chevy Spark when I traveled in Iceland and other than getting it stuck in the sand once, it worked well. If this happens to you, I have the tips and tricks to get you out!

Hotels in Reykjavik start around $150-$200+/night. Airbnb/VRBO is also an option. Feel free to check out accommodations outside of the main city as well! We will be staying in Reykjavik on 8/15/26, then a hotel near the church in Budir for the night before 8/16/26. We will then return back to Reykjavik for 8/17/26 and so on.
