Rachel and Ben both grew up in Franklin County, but didn't connect with each other until 2018. They fell quickly, bonding over mutual loves of The Office, Taylor Swift, sappy country music and their pets. A week of good fortune as they began talking saw Rachel vacationing in Hawaii and Ben working an overnight shift back home, where the awkward time zone combination made it easy to avoid his work in favor of swapping text messages with his future wife. The two began spending more and more time together upon Rachel's return home. Though the road wasn't without bumps as Ben battled the demons which had plagued his 20s, Rachel's gentle compassion was the catalyst that kept them moving forward together. As Ben and Rachel continued on, it became apparent to all those around them that they were deeply in love with each other and they brought out the best in one another. The inevitable wedding still to come, Ben and Rachel are more excited than ever to begin their life together - though each has been certain of this path for longer than they'd readily admit. They look forward to building a family and continuing their work of helping others in their community, where Rachel is a social worker for children and families in need of her kindness and support and Ben works for the local homeless shelter. Rachel will continue to join Ben at the high school sporting events he covers for the newspaper and Ben will continue to try to sneak junk food into the shopping cart at the grocery store. The love they've enjoyed so far serves as the perfect foundation for Ben and Rachel to continue to grow in their faith, careers, family and life. They look forward to spending December 11, 2021 with you as we celebrate their love and new life together.
