Big Trees Trail

Big Trees Trail, Oakland, CA 94611

This is a lovely place to take a leisurely walk or hike AND it's where Joe asked, "Will you be my partner for life?"

San Francisco

San Francisco, CA

Well, there are a TON of attractions in SF, just across the bay from Berkeley and Oakland. You could look up some things to do, get lost and wonder the city, or do the touristy thing and check out Pier 39. Just remember, the famous words of Mark Twain, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” So, bring layers!

Point Reyes Station

Point Reyes Station, CA 94956

It's about an hour or so drive (depending on traffic) but beautiful and worth it. Lovely coast views and nice hiking trails.

Muir Woods National Monument

Mill Valley, CA 94941
, (415) 388-2595

Can get crowded on the weekends (but not to worry, you'll be at our wedding). Lovely redwood forests and lots of hiking trails that can take you off the main path.

Tennessee Valley Trailhead

591 Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley, CA 94941
, (415) 331-1540

One of my favorite hikes. Takes you through a coastal area to the beach. Easy to moderate hiking with lovely views.

Fourth Street

Fourth Street, Berkeley, CA 94710

Enjoy shopping and dining on this lovely and lively street!

Tres Sendas Trail in Redwood Regional Park

7867 Redwood Road, Oakland, CA 94619
, (888) 327-2757

Another one of our favorite hiking spots here in Oakland!

Elmwood Neighborhood

College Ave., Berkeley, CA

Take a stroll on College Ave in this neighborhood. Enjoy shops and casual dining.
