A Washintonian and a New Mexican found one another by divine happenings. They met while Austin was supporting Jaclyn's Topgolf venue reopening after covid closures. On December 7th 2021, near the end of his time in Washington, they connected over a shared love of music. Later that night, while with coworkers at a favorite local bar, people noticed their connection but he went back to New Mexico and ended up climbing his career and moving to Colorado in January of 2022. During most of 2022 and half of 2023 they stayed in touch; contact was here and there. Jaclyn came to visit Austin whenever she could. On July 23, 2023 when connection was looking impossible, they ran into each other at a music festival. It was then that they decided to commit to creating a life together. He got promoted and moved to Utah in December 2023. Jaclyn stayed in Washington until she had the opportunity to transfer for work. In August 2024, her dog Sarge and her moved to Utah with a new puppy for Austin named Snuffles. After about a year, on June 18th 2025, Austin proposes at that local bar they first hung out at. Our story has been shaped by road trips, late-night talks, laughter that refuses to stop and the comfort of knowing that even in the hardest moments, we’ve found our way back to each other. We’ve built something honest and strong, rooted in friendship and grown by choice. A reminder of the many ways we’ve already chosen love, and the promise of all the ways we’ll continue to do so.

Even now as she passes the bond to Austin, she's is simply representing the worthiness of the connection found; She herself, will forever hold Jaclyn's oldest bond. A love unhindered by time and emotion. Grown by their trials and tribulations. So deep it is unfathomable. You can't fully know one without knowing the other. Their connection is uniquely theirs. She's known her in every season, before the world, within it & beside her still. She is the mirror & the moon, the one who holds Jaclyn's truths without asking.
