Covid-19 has made this year quite different than anyone had planned. Having a wedding planned during this pandemic, we were very worried what was going to happen. We have given all of our options much thought but ultimately decided that moving forward with our original wedding was the best decision for us! There will be social distancing during the ceremony and reception. There will also be multiple hand sanitizer stations located throughout the venue for your convenience. Masks are not required, however, please feel free to wear one if you would like to! With all of that being said, if you do not feel like you can make it, we completely understand. The health and safety of our family and friends is very important to us. We hope to see you all there but if you cannot attend we will miss you very much! If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach out, we would be happy to answer any and all of your questions!
It was Spring Break 2014 and my friends and I were off to Gulf Shores, Alabama for the week. We were staying in a duplex right on the beach and were so excited. We hadn't met our neighbors yet but we were hoping they would be cool. To our surprise, our neighbors were a group of senior Lambda Chi's from Mizzou. It was the second day and the guys were digging a beer pong table in the sand. One of the guys asked me if I wanted to play, so I agreed and introduced myself. He then told me his name was Kellen. We ended up hanging out the rest of the week and then went back to school. Once we got back to school I didn't see or hear from him, I just assumed he didn't want to hang out with me anymore. Then one day in the summer I ran into him and the rest was history.
We were visiting my family in Dallas for a few days and both of my sisters were able to come home so everyone was all together. We went to lunch with one of my high school friends and then went to get ice cream after. We were eating the ice cream in front of this fountain when Kellen asked if we could take a picture. We were getting ready to take the picture when all of a sudden he gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him. It was the easiest decision I've ever had to make. We went home to tell my family and everyone was there with champagne and flowers ready to celebrate. It was perfect.
