Our Story

First comes school, then comes marriage

Gardner High School, 2010 Jennifer- a high school junior at a normal color guard practice. Kellee- a soon-to-be freshman dragged to a color guard practice by a friend. It wasn't love at first sight. Kellee thought Jen was funny, and charming, and Jen thought Kellee was cute, if a little loud. Kellee joined the color guard when she began high school later that year, and as they spent more time together, Jen began to realize there was more to this girl than her mouth. The connection between them grew, and before they knew it they were talking on the phone until dawn and racing to see each other at school. Kellee loved staring into Jen's warm and inviting eyes, and Jen found herself getting caught up in Kellee’s enthusiasm and sparkle. Life kept getting in the way, and the timing never seemed right, but they remained "slightly" obsessed with each other all throughout Jen's high school years and even a year's separation when Kellee's family moved to Florida for her junior year. When she returned, Kellee was determined not to waste any more time and made her affections for Jen very clear, asking her to give this relationship a real shot. The week before her 18th birthday, Jen picked Kellee up from yet another color guard performance and took her out to sushi. She asked Kellee if she would be her girlfriend, officially. Influenced by the delicious rolls, Kellee agreed, and they sealed the deal with a kiss. Exactly eight years later, Jen and Kellee were vacationing in Costa Rica with Jen’s family. On their 8th anniversary, Jen took Kellee out to a little daybed where they drank wine and reminisced about how far they’d come. It was there that Jen asked Kellee the easiest question of her life. We are thrilled to be inviting you all to our wedding!
