We met playing flag football on the same team about 20 years ago. We both shared the love of sports! I moved to Atlanta and a year later Steph came out to Atlanta too. I knew she wouldn't stay because she is a beach girl. Steph moved back to CA, became a dental hygienist, wife, and mother of two beautiful kids. Although, we live many miles apart, we have still remained best friends from afar.

We met at University of Southern California's college meet and greet with student's visiting form the Bay Area. We discovered we were going to be in the same major and decided to be instantly to be roomies and took all of our classes in college together for the first two years. We graduated and always great remained friends. Some years later, I moved to Atlanta to continue teaching and Cassandra came a year later. So here we are over 20 years later, same awesome friendship just in a different city!

Funny story how Carmen and I met. We actually met because I love to get my nails done and I am okay talking to strangers. LOL. I met Carmen the first time at one nail shop and then about 6 months later when her son was 6 months old, I ran into her again at a different nail shop and invited her to one of my infamous Halloween parties. She attended with the best Hooters girl costume and after that night we would spend hours and hours sharing stories of our past with each other. We also would get out and party too! We realized that we were actually very similar in personality and have remained close friends ever since. Fun Fact: Carmen is a friend known to shut a party down with her historic dance moves.

Danielle was my first friend that i made in Atlanta when i moved here 14 years ago! She had moved from Washington DC and I had moved from California. We were both hired to be 3rd grade teachers at the same school and instantly found out we had lots in common; we were both part of the same sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha!! We used to hang out day parties, night parties, holiday parties weekday or weekends; you name it we were there!! We have remained friends throughout our years here even though we are at different schools and Danielle has a beautiful daughter that takes up much of her time. I am happy to say I am her god mommy too! So happy to have met her and excited she will be in my wedding.

I met this lovely lady at my sorority sister's baby shower when I first moved to Atlanta over a decade ago. Shyann and I instantly had a great time together whether hosting parties, going out to dinner, or simply just enjoying some homemade cocktails. Shyann got into the broadcasting industry as a news anchor so she was swept away to many cities over the past 8 years! She is now back and we not only awesome tennis partners but we have picked back up where we left off as if she never left. Shyann and her husband are expecting baby number two and cannot join us physically but will be there in spirit.
