We’re getting married!

The story begins with a text message, some cupcakes, and their mothers. Before they even met, their moms had formed a friendship despite never meeting. Kellcee’s mom, Tracy, had started a cottage bakery business that Grant’s mom, Kathy, had stumbled upon through an advertisement on Facebook for beautiful flower bouquets cupcakes. Tracy eventually supplied cupcakes for a baby showers, Fourth of July celebration, and other important events for the Odles and even met Grant briefly while delivering cupcakes, she later told Kellcee that she had thought to herself that the nice guy she met was cute and could be a good match. That December Kathy was ordering a Golden Birthday for her son, Tracy had asked how you could have a golden birthday at 36…turns out Grant was always called the Golden Child…Tracy laughed and said that she had a Golden child too. Then the mothers did was mothers do best and proceeded to chat about their kids and hatched a plan that the two should meet. After numbers were exchanged (with permission) they waited. Now, Grant was more daring, and messaged Kellcee first and on January second they went out for their first date. Hours went by and the two didn’t tire of conversation. Laughter was easy and stories were shared. Together Grant and Kellcee bonded over silly stories and what would turn out to be an eerie number of parallels in their lives, everything from when each set of parents moved to Minnesota, behavior traits growing up, and how each moved out of state for several years before coming back to Minnesota to stay. Kellcee has said many times that they seemed to have led lives that were parallel until they all of a sudden decided to cross when they were each ready for each other, they each had some lessons to learn first. From day one Grant and Kellcee felt at home with each other. Neither questioned that they found their person and are beyond excited to celebrate the start of their shared life together with their friends and family. It’s a simple story but that is what makes it perfect for them. For Grant and Kellcee ‘the best is yet to come.’
