Question

How do I pronounce "Taughannock"?

Answer

To the best of our knowledge it is pronounced "Tuh-Gan-Ick".

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will both be at The Inn at Taughannock Falls, 15 minutes outside Ithaca, NY.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is formal (black-tie optional). Ladies are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns, elegant midi dresses, or polished cocktail dresses in dressy fabrics. Gentlemen are invited to wear a suit or tuxedo with a dress shirt and a tie or bow tie. Dress shoes in black or brown. When in doubt, leaning slightly more formal is always a safe choice! The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be in the venue's permanent open air tent (with heaters), however Fall in upstate New York can be chilly in the evenings so please plan on appropriate layering. Most of all, we hope you wear something you feel great in and we can’t wait to see you!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your children, we are only allowing immediate family to bring their kids. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you're still able to join us on our big day!

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

A guest shuttle will be available, providing pick-up and drop-off at a central location in the Commons. After the wedding, the shuttle will also return guests to Ithaca for the after-party. Exact pick-up and drop-off times will be shared closer to the date. Guests are also welcome to drive their own vehicles. There is free on-site parking close to where the ceremony and reception are taking place.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, there is an ADA entrance for those needing wheelchair accommodations. The Inn also provides a golfcart to transport guest from the parking lot. All primary areas including the ceremony, reception, and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. If any additional accommodations are required, please contact us.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception, however, we do recommend bringing cash or a credit card along if you plan to attend the after-party, as drinks after the reception will not be covered.
