Soooo we met online, true story. On CatholicMatch.. Kellan messaged me and I responded after the suspenseful 10-day waiting period for me to respond (good things come to those who wait!) I rember our first conversation being interesting and controversial from the start. We kept talking and eventually I was intrigued by his shared interest in the faith as well as avoidance of small talk. He came out to see me after a couple weeks of messaging, phone calls and video calls. We visited a few nature spots where he sang and played ukulele for me by a stream, climbed some rocky and muddy hills barefoot and then painted the view, and by the end of our date, climbed a mountainous waterfall. He ended the day together by asking me out and stealing my heart ❤
We both had always wanted to be engaged outside away from the city. One Sunday, I asked if she wanted to make a trip to the Teton Mountains (we had been planning to go for some while). Then risking the possible snow in the forecast we arrived after almost getting stuck in a snowstorm on the way up. She was confused as to why I was taking such a risk but I knew why.😉 We started walking and talking along a dried-up creek bed, and while she talked to me I was scrambling in my mind to find the perfect time to "pop the question." After sitting down on a fallen tree trunk, she brought up the movie Serendipity and confessed that she always wondered about the reality of soulmates and asked me my opinion on it. I then explained that they could be real in certain cases, like in our case. Then I asked her if she wanted to be my soulmate forever, and instantly getting on one knee, I nervously proposed! I am blessed to have found my very own soulmate.💓
