Things To Do

We're excited for you to check out some of our favorite things to do in the area! Keep in mind, service is very spotty so try to figure out your plan before you leave.

The Marshall Store

19225 California 1, Marshall, CA 94940

This is one of our favorite places to eat in the area. Everything on the menu is delicious. Very casual, think sandwiches, fish tacos, chowder, lots of oysters. Mostly all outdoor seating. Try to check it out if you can! There tends to be a line but it is worth the wait.

Hog Island Oyster Farm: The Boat Oyster Bar

20215 Shoreline Highway, Marshall, CA 94940

Tomales Bay is the home of Hog Island's oyster farm. You need to make a reservation on the weekend so recommend booking asap if you plan to go. Really nice outdoor "cafe." It can get pretty windy FYI so bring a jacket. They have a pretty limited menu so we'd recommend going for a drink, apps, and some oysters.

Tony's Seafood Restaurant

18863 Shoreline Highway, Marshall, CA 94940

Owned by Hog Island so you know the food is good. They have a more robust menu than Hog Island. Indoor/outdoor seating. Great bloody mary! They take reservations but not required.

Route One Bakery & Kitchen

27000 Shoreline Highway, Tomales, CA 94971

They are known for great pastries and pizza at lunch. It's a very casual place with a few outdoor tables. Good option if you are heading up to Dillion Beach.

Cafe Reyes

11101 California 1, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956

Nice spot in Pt. Reyes to go to for good pizza and a beer. Casual indoor/outdoor seating.

Side Street Kitchen

60 4th Street, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956

Casual outdoor spot in Pt Reyes. Some lunch and brunch options. Opens at 11am on weekends.

Station House Cafe

11285 California 1, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956

A good spot for more traditional brunch in Pt Reyes (about 15 drive from the Marconi). They also offer dinner if you are looking for something a little nicer/not seafood. All indoor seating.

Point Reyes Roadhouse

10905 California 1, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956

They open at 8am so it's a good option for an earlier, casual breakfast.

Heidrun Meadery

11925 California 1, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956

This is a fun place to go if you’ve never tried mead or love it. They specialize in sparkling mead (honey wine). You can bring food and have a picnic with your tasting.

Trails & Beach Walks

Pt Reyes, CA 94940

There are a ton of awesome trails and beach walks in the area. Check out All Trails for recs. We've only done dog friendly ones but enjoyed Tamales Bay Trailhead, Kehoe Beach Trailhead and Point Reyes Beach.

Farm Tours at Hog Island Oyster Co.

20215 Shoreline Highway, Marshall, CA 94940

For our real oyster lovers, Hog Island offers a farm tour at 9:30am on Saturdays. Reservations open 30 days in advance.

Explore Pt. Reyes

CA

Head over to Pt. Reyes for a bite and check out the rest of the town. It's basically only one block but they have a few cute shops, a cool record store Loose Joints, the Old Western Saloon (cash only), a farmers market, and a couple bakeries. The lighthouse is 40 minutes from downtown Pt. Reyes FYI.

Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co

14700 Shoreline Highway, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956

Look for an appointment for the Cheese Lovers Tasting or you can just visit the shop.

Kayaking Tour on Tomales Bay

12948 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Inverness, CA 94937

Dillon Beach

Dillon Beach, CA

Dillion Beach is a great option for a beach day or beach walk. Stop by Route One Bakery on the way or eat at Coastal Kitchen in Dillion Beach.

Nicks Cove

23240 Highway One, Marshall, CA 94940

Nick's Cove is one of our favorite spots to eat and is close to the Marconi. Unfortunately they have a private event so are closed to the public on Friday and Saturday of our wedding weekend. Check them out if you are in town earlier or they should be open on the Sunday after the wedding!
