We met during our first semester of sophomore year at open gym volleyball night. A mutual friend (Drew Vandergriend - shoutout) who also happened to go to high school with my sister introduced us, as he was Josh's new roommate. I know what your thinking, we hit it off from there and fell in love, NOPE! Josh was a nervous wreck around Keli'i and was afraid to make a move. One of our best friends, and the officiant of the wedding (Michael Meza), was also Josh's RA in the dorms at the time. We started hanging out at his apartment, and began bonding over games of Super Smash Brothers on nintendo 64. Eventually, Josh found the courage to ask Keli'i out to a party, where they spent the night talking, laughing and dancing. That boldness paid off, and from there it was nothing but movie nights, volleyball, and lots of adventures. We are happily living in Portland, Oregon today with our own cute little apartment and our two precious pups Kavika and Uki. We look forwards to sharing more of our story in person with you in July!
