The Boise River Greenbelt is a great walking/running path that follows the Boise River right through the heart of the city! Cameron and I especially love the views on greenbelt, as well as the great spots to stop for a bite or a drink along the way!
Freak Alley is a great stop if you are hanging out in downtown Boise! It is a great place to see some really creative and amazing art from talented local artists! Its hidden right in the heart of downtown and is surrounded by lots of great food and drinks! We love to spend a Saturday morning hitting the farmers market, grabbing a bite to eat, and seeing all the new installations in the alley ways!
A free, family-friendly street festival held monthly Downtown Nampa from May through September. Each event features a unique theme—like rodeo nights, beach parties, or disco bashes—and includes live music, food trucks, beer gardens, games, and activities such as ax throwing and bumper boats. Local vendors and businesses join in the fun, making it a vibrant celebration of community spirit. It’s the perfect way to spend a summer evening in the heart of Nampa. (Third Thursday Only, June 18)
Sunnyslope wine Trail just 30 minutes from the Boise Idaho… Come visit any one of the 19 wineries along the trail - you don’t need to be a wine expert to relax, sip some wine, and take in the picturesque views of orchards, winding country roads and patchwork farmland. It’s an experience you won’t forget. A bucket list item for Cameron and me!

The Village at Meridian has a large variety of shops and restaurants! In the summer they may even have events going on in the streets or live music in Fountain Square! There is also a full arcade/sports bar/bowling alley right next door at Big Al's! We love to spend date nights at the village grabbing a bite to eat and watching the light/fountain show!
Big Al’s is a great place to stop and grab some food and a drink while you watch a game! You can also bowl in one of their two bowling lounges or head upstairs for a full arcade and bar! Big Al's is also connected to The Village at Meridian so there's no shortage of things to do!
The Meridian Farmers Market offers live music, craft tents, good food and drinks, and lots of fun! The Meridian market is one of our favorites! We like to grab a drink and walk through the tents before enjoying some live music right in front of City Hall! (Saturdays Only)
