What should I wear?

Answer

Wear what makes you comfortable. We love a reason to dress up, and if you do too, please join us! If that's not your style, that's okay too. We're just happy to have you. We will be celebrating on grass, so please plan comfortable footwear accordingly.

Yes, there will be light snacks followed by dinner.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have hotel room blocks planned for Black Bear Hotel & Casino in Carlton, MN and at the AmercInn in Cloquet, MN coming soon. They are 15 and 12 minute drives from the wedding venue, respectively. For those that may be interested, camping onsite at the wedding venue is available too. This is private property that is mostly a large field with no traditional campsite amenities. If this is your speed, pack your tent, bring plenty of drinking water and food, and be ready to be fully self sufficient outside of the celebration hours. We kindly request that pets are left at home and do not accompany you to the property. PLEASE RSVP TO SIMON OR KELCY if you plan to camp so that we can make sure to have plenty of space set aside for the number of folks planning to do so. There are also many hotels and vacation rentals between the Cloquet/Duluth area if you prefer accommodations closer to Lake Superior (about a 30 minute drive from the venue).

Will there be running water?

Answer

No, there will be no indoor plumbing (or indoors...unless you count the tent). There will be portable bathrooms onsite along with handwashing stations (real soap and water that uses a foot pedal). There will also be plenty of clean drinking water and other beverages available.
