Kelcie and Eric met in the summer of 2015 in TN while Eric was traveling for business. Eric stayed at a hotel that happened to be managed by Kelcie. Eric was slightly standoffish while first checking into the hotel when Kelcie asked how to spell his last name. "Must've had a rough flight," she wondered. Kelcie then thought, "I'm going to make this guy want to be my friend." They proceeded to talk often during his stays and found that they very much enjoyed each other's company. Eric thought Kelcie was extremely flattering and charismatic. Eventually, he worked up the courage to ask her out for drinks. She promptly replied, "No, I don't drink..." Kelcie walked into the back office of her hotel one day and said to a handful of coworkers, "So, I'm pretty sure Mr. Kurtzberg is my soul mate." After the initial "???" response, they suggested she reach out to him via social media. Kelcie did just that. She reached out to ask Eric out to dinner. Shocked, he gladly accepted. She took him to a local favorite hole-in-the-wall Japanese grill. Kelcie ensured she paid for dinner to show him she was very interested in getting to know him; plus, it's very rude to ask someone to dinner and then also ask them to pay. After that, they watched Parks and Rec at Kelcie's apartment, and that's all she wrote...
