Best Man
Jake is the groom's best bud! Jake and Phil's friendship began on the soccer field for the Simsbury Sonics and continued with extensive camping trips in the backwoods of Connecticut. Although Jake is now a Pacific Northwest native, him and Phil don't feel that far apart thanks to late night FIFA games. Phil can often be heard yelling "You suck!" to his buddy while gaming and even named his robo-vacuum "Jake" in honor of this common utterance. Jake lives in Seattle with his wife Vero and their adorable dog Luca. Phil stood by Jake as his best man when he got married in 2019 and is honored to have him now return the favor!
Beth Monroe
Maid of Honor
Beth is one of the bride's closest friends and has been by her side through the ups and downs of online dating. When Kelley finally met Phil after years of swiping left, Beth was the biggest supporter of their love story. She can often be caught communicating with Kelley through text, Snapchat, Instagram, and Tik Tok simultaneously. Beth and Kelley have been traversing the Connecticut shore for the last two years in search of the perfect lobster roll. Besides hot, buttered seafood, they also share a love of all things Broad City, GIRLS, and The Office. Beth is a kickass nurse (hero) and currently lives in Farmington. The girls' witchy senses often bring them on great adventures and Kelley is so honored to have Beth along for her biggest adventure yet!
Matt Herman
Groomsman
Matt is the bride's baby brother! Kelley is five years Matt's senior and when he was first born, she remembers thinking, "Wow, they got me a real live doll!" From that day forward, Kelley could be found using Matt as her personal form of entertainment and companionship. "Dress-up" is still a trigger term for Matt. Matt eventually out grew the tea parties and scrunchies and made his own way in the world quite well. He graduated from CCSU, found his own love story on Tinder, and currently works at Enterprise in between rounds of golf. Matt is beyond excited to be a part of this special day, even though his sister is marrying a Red Sox fan.
Kellie Washburn
Bridesmaid
Kellie is the older and much wiser sister of the groom. Standing at only 5 feet tall, she has always looked up to her little brother, in more ways than one. Phil has supported Kellie in all her life adventures. She has competed in several Special Olympics over the years and even traveled to Ireland to bring home a gold medal in bowling. Kellie brightens up every room she walks in. She loves doing makeup, watching WWE and horror movies, painting and swimming. When Kellie first met her future sister in law, she made sure to let Phil know that, “two Kellie/ys are better than one!” Kellie will see you all out on the dance floor in July!
Cash
Ring Bearer
Cash is truly elated that his parents are finally sealing the deal that was set in motion four and a half years ago. Before Kelley would leave to go out on Bumble dates, she would look at Cash and say, "Alright Bud, I'm going to try and find you a new Dad tonight." After many failed attempts, she secured the most loveable, adventurous, cuddly "Papa" she could find. Cash enjoys long hikes with photo ops at the top, chewing his bones, playing with his friends, and napping. Cash made a promise to his parents that he is going to be a good boy during the ceremony and all of the photos beforehand, as long as a piece of wedding cake makes it home in a doggie bag.
