It was the year 2009. Drake was giving us the best he ever had, Beyonce was making sure the ladies had a ring on it and Soulja Boy was somewhere turning his swag on. KeJuan was most likely somewhere with a pair of “girbaud” straps on with a matching AAA white tee. Kayla was probably wearing a beaded rocka wear v-neck and micro-braids. They were killing the game, allegedly.
As luck would have it, these two crossed paths at Broadview Missionary Baptist Church.
They realized they had mutual friends on Facebook. They direct messaged each other for a while. Insert flirting here. KeJuan got the digits (finally). They kept talking, but actually started going out too (progress). They became inseparable not long after that.
As with any love story, there’s been ups and downs, highs and lows. But today, they stand stronger than ever. 9 years worth of loving, learning and making it worthwhile.
They can’t wait to embark on this new journey of their lives.
