It all started on the Fourth of July at a party on Long Island, one Kejsi was invited to at the last minute. Looking back, it turned out to be one of the best spontaneous decisions she ever made. What began as a summer night filled with laughter and fireworks turned into the start of something truly special. At first, things moved slowly. Kejsi was finishing up college while Nick was living and working in the city, but there was no denying the spark between them. Once she graduated and moved back to New York, everything started to fall into place. One of their favorite memories from those early days was a summer trip to Vermont in 2020 to celebrate Nick’s 25th birthday, a weekend full of laughter, adventure, and the moment they both realized this was something real. Fast forward a few years to the proposal, a night that felt straight out of a movie. The day before Kejsi’s 28th birthday, Nick told her he had a surprise planned downtown. When they arrived at the marina, a sailboat was waiting for them, captained by a “friendly sailor” who, as it turned out, was actually their photographer in disguise. As they sailed off with the city skyline glowing behind them and light rain starting to fall, Nick got down on one knee, holding onto the side rail to keep from falling over (lol), and asked the question that would change their lives forever. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter surrounded by all the people they love most.
