Keith and I grew up just around the corner from each other, so in a way, we’ve always been in each other's lives—even if from a distance. He’s five years older than me, so we never went to school together, and our paths didn’t really cross much back then. Just the occasional passing glance around town. But everything changed one day while I was at work. Keith came in to sign one of his kids up for summer school, and when he saw me, something clicked. He seen and in that moment, he knew he had to find a way to connect.
