The Wedding Website of Lauren Skladanek and Keith Nyberg
The color scheme for our wedding! ^ And a few other things you should know...
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We want to bring a desert feel to our party! Please wear light neutral colors inspired the desert landscape. Think cream, khaki, ivory, camel, sandstone, etc. Sage (dusty light green) is ok too! No bright colors ie: red, pink, purple, blue. No black. (See color palette above for inspiration!) Style is elevated casual (pretty much whatever you're comfortable and feel your best in!) with the option to change into something more comfortable/fun for the party after dinner. We recommend bringing a jacket or fur coat for later in the evening when it cools down. The ground is made up of fine/soft dirt, so pointy heels aren't recommended.

Question

What is the driving/parking situation?

Answer

There will be free street parking outside of the venue along North River Road. We suggest carpooling to minimize the amount of cars. Uber has been a bit difficult in San Diego lately, so we can't promise it will be easy to get a ride share home late at night if you don't plan on driving. We hope the situation starts to improve closer to the event.

Question

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The venue is outdoors. The weather in September is expected to be very nice (in the mid 80's during the day and 60's at night). Bring a warm jacket or fur coat for the evening as it could get chilly when the sun goes down.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love all of your little ones, this is an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.

Question

Will there be any special diet options available at dinner?

Answer

Yes. There will be food for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free eaters.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes, we will have cocktails, beer, seltzers and wine. Please plan on tipping our wonderful bartenders (with cash or with venmo!)

Question

What is the camping situation?

Answer

For those wanting to party late into the night, you have the option to camp with us on the property. Please pack lightly for an overnight stay at the venue. Share tents if you can to maximize space on site and reduce pack out time. If you're from out of town, ask local friends to share/borrow tents! You won't really be spending time at your "camp" so no need for anything other than your tent and sleeping necessities. We ask that people don't congregate at their camp/in their tents in order to keep the party going out on the dance floor! We must be awake at 10am and completely packed out of the venue by 12pm. ALL HANDS ON DECK FOR VENUE PACK OUT! ALL HELP IS WELCOME :)

Question

When can I set up my camping gear?

Answer

You can bring/set up your camping gear on Friday from 12pm-2pm or Saturday between at 10am-12pm. If that isn't possible, you can bring it to the wedding with you on Saturday, and set it up at some point during the night (after the ceremony). If you bring your camping gear to the wedding, you can pull up to the main gate, drop off your stuff, and then park so that you don't have to carry everything from your car if you can't find a close parking spot. If you are setting up your tent prior to the event, text or call Megan upon your arrival to guide you into the venue and show you where to go (321) 947-3897.

Question

Can I bring my camper/RV

Answer

There is no space for RV's or campers on site. There is only street parking available, so you would have to find a spot out on the street to park if you'd like to bring an RV or camper to sleep in.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We do not have a hotel block, but the two closest hotels to the venue are listed in the "travel" section of the website. There are also many other hotels and airbnbs nearby in Vista, Carlsbad and Oceanside.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you were given a guest spot, it should say so when you go to RSVP for the wedding.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Around 3:30 is best! The bar will be open so you can grab a drink beforehand. The ceremony is scheduled to begin right at 4pm.

Question

If I still have questions, what's the best way to contact you?

Answer

Feel free to reach out to Lauren or Keith for any questions pre-wedding weekend. If you have questions on the weekend of the event, please reach out to Megan McCormick at (321) 947-3897
