Question
What's up with all the events? When should I come to town/leave?
Answer
We know that getting here is an effort and expense so we want to make it worth your while and have plenty of opportunity to mingle with you in addition to the wedding Saturday night. That said, those additional things are optional and casual. (We will need a solid RSVP on the Bat Cruise, though.) We may keep adding "events" to the schedule, and they'll be things WE will be doing, but join us or don't nbd. Check out the THINGS TO DO page for other ways to fill your weekend!

Where should I stay??
Answer
Check out the Travel page! But it bears repeating: We have a discounted block of rooms at the quirky Austin Motel, right on fun-filled South Congress and walkable to many activities. If that's too expensive, check the rates at still-walkable & lovely The Line or Embassy Suites. Our best budget-saver suggestions require reliance on rideshare or a rental car & tolerance to freeway noise, but still modern, with pools & possibly free breakfast: East Austin Hotel, Super 8 Downtown, and Aiden.

What's the wedding dress code?
Answer
Dressy Casual. Anything from semi-casual to semi-formal will do, festive but not too fancy. We don't hold to tradition. Feel free to wear white or neutrals or black if you want. Women, you got this but some general suggestions: Tea dress, Cocktail, Jumpsuit, etc. Men: Tennis shoes are okay, t-shirts only under a sportcoat or sweater, suit up if you're feelin it.

You said "kid friendly" but is it really??

We have 4 boys ages 9 to 17 who are included in most of our plans, and we're trying to be mindful of littler ones, too. We know your little one's nap/sleep schedule might be thrown way off so rest assured we are completely fine with all the associated noises & distraction that occurs with including them. Early bedtime Saturday is one thing we didn't accommodate, sorry. Let us know if you want help finding a babysitter for any portion of your time here.

The library has a (pay) parking garage. Generally, we encourage using rideshare.
