Growing up miles apart

the good ol days

Little did we know that the two of us were growing up just miles apart, without really ever crossing paths. Keith was a passionate football player since he was 6 years old. Coached by his dad, it quickly became a part of who he is. Keith attended St. Michaels High School and remained in sports throughout high school, including football and Track & Field. Julia grew up always looking to try something new. From music, to sports, to trying to create small businesses on the side just for fun. The desire to find what she was passionate about, which led her on a journey to explore different opportunities within the community.

How We Met

Summer 2017

We met in the Summer of 2017 - and didn't think much of it at the time. While Julia was home for the summer, we went from sharing a 2 for $20 on a "quick date" to becoming inseparable. We like to say Julia's Grandma Vicky called it, by immediately introducing him to others as her "Future Grandson", literally without even having met him first. The summer quickly came to an end, and we had no idea what the future has in store for us. Despite our opposing and incredibly busy schedules, we couldn't help but stay connected any chance we could. From late night facetime dates, to constant flights back and fourth from NM to AZ, we knew we had something special we were willing to fight for.

The Proposal

4 | 24 | 22

With the help of the Best Man, Matron of Honor and Her Husband, it was finally time to put Keiths proposal plan into play. We planned a Sunday Brunch with Morgan and Her Husband at one of the busiest brunch spots in the Valley. We arrived and were put on a 2.5 hour wait for a table -- so we decided to take a little detour to kill some time. We arrived at Papago Park and took a walk over to a beautiful gazebo. Without even making it up the stairs of the gazebo, Keith surprised Julia on one knee, It was such a special moment at one of our favorite places. (oh and we made it back in time for brunch!) We are so excited to share this moment with all of our friends and family who have shaped who we are as individuals and supported us as a couple!
