Keith and Jill met as many college couples do, at a kegger. It wasn't love at first sight, but after many months of friendship, from Pumpkinfest parties to Superbowl wins (and losses), Keith eventually got up the nerve to ask Jill out on a date. He picked her up at her dorm, dancing away inside a pink and red Toyota. He was wearing shorts in February in New Hampshire and brought her over to his house for homemade chicken parmesan. As she walked in, his roommate, Steve, was dancing with his bunny in the kitchen. Maybe a normal girl would have left, but luckily Jill loves chicken parm. Keith and Jill became a couple that spring semester 2008. Despite countless job/career changes, too many apartments, a long distance relationship for many years, this couple remained strong.
After nearly ten years together, Keith and Jill began to talk about getting married. Keith purchased a ring, and told Jill they were going to get drinks with his sister, Michele, and her husband, Steve, for the holiday. Despite her annoyance that the drinks were happening "in the middle of the day" and she had a lot of baking to do, she agreed. They were late, of course, and walked into the local brewery with Jill's sister, Bridget, her dog, Benji and Daisy causing quite the scene. Michele had saved us seats at the end of the bar. As Jill took her seat, the bartender approached and asked "what can I get you?" Jill took a look at the tap list. At the very bottom, the "Christmas Special: Marry Me Ale" and she knowingly looked at Keith and said "What are you getting, Keith?" At this point Keith got on one knee and asked Jill to marry him. She cried and nodded and always attracted to sparkle grabbed the beautiful ring. Eventually she actually said yes. They celebrated, called a few family and friends and settled in for a beer. When all the sudden Jill's parents and sister, Brie, walked in surprising Jill from CT. They had driven hours in an ice storm to be there. The celebrations continued into the night with dinner, live music and bad dance moves.
