The nearest airport in Italy to Otranto is Brindisi, a small port city in southern Italy’s Apulia region. Flights to Brindisi typically go from London Stansted in the south and Manchester in the north west. Last year Ryanair, who operate the flights from the UK into Brindisi, released their summer 2022 flights at the end of November. We expect it to be similar again this year and will be sending out reminders closer to the time and when the flights are released so you can book your tickets.

Direct flights to Brindisi from Manchester typically take place on Monday and return on Friday, perfect if you plan on spending just the weekend, want to come for a full week or spend longer in Italy. ~~ Where to stay ~~ Otranto is the prime destination for accommodation for the wedding. A short 10 minute drive to the venue, the port city has stunning beaches and architecture, as well as gorgeous traditional Italian restaurants. ~~ What service to book ~~ Airbnb is an obvious choice here, and provides a superb selection of rustic villas and apartments to enjoy your stay. A good example is shown in the link below. The Terrace House in Otranto over looks the castle, sleeps up to 8 people and costs around £115 per night. Alternatively, there are plenty of hotels, BnB's and villas within 10 minutes drive ~~ Grouping up ~~
