How We Met

We met on Instagram. That's right INSTAGRAM! I was looking FLAWLESS in my pictures (no filter needed ). He was being a stalker liking all my photos lmbo. Back then he couldn't slide in my DM's because Instagram wasn't that advanced yet so we didn't have Direct messaging. He commented on a 30+ week old picture and tried to spit game. I ignored him but I did go snoop on his page to see what he was working with. He was handsome with his light skin tatted self; but of course I wasn't going to tell him that so I continued to ignore him. He was persistent though and ended up giving me his number and telling me to text him. I took his number but didn't text him until almost a week or two later. For about four months we would talk on the phone every day all day. We would facetime, ooVoo and Skype each other all the time. Febraury 1, 2013 we decided to finally meet in person. We watched movies chilled and talked. I went back to school and for the weekends I would come home and we would hang out. He was super cool and his family was cool too. After a while we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend and we've been on this journey every since. It's crazy because at the time I didn't even want a boyfriend. I don't know how he tricked me lmbo. The best kind of relationships begin unexpectedly. When you get the astonished feeling and everything happens so suddenly. That's why you don't go looking for love. It comes to you just at the right time; the time you never thought it would have.

The Proposal

I called out from work that day and I told her I was going downtown to window shop, but really I was going downtown to Unclaimed Diamonds. I went in the store just to look around so I could have an idea of what type of ring I wanted to get so I could propose on New Years Day. I picked out a few rings and the sale lady asked if I was going to purchase anything that day. I told her no I was just looking. She said if I was serious about getting engaged I wouldn't leave without a ring because usually people don't come back. That part clicked and I ended up purchasing a ring. I waited three hours to get it sized and rushed home. I was so excited I couldn't wait until New Years Day. I yelled for Ayesha to come downstairs and when she got downstairs I was on one knee. She started crying and I asked her to marry me. Of course she said yes because she couldn't live without all this sexiness. And that's how we got engaged.
