Attire
The Dress Code for the evening is formal. We ask our guests to wear suits or dresses. Below you can find some examples of formal dress, as well as the wedding color palette if you would like to color-coordinate your outfit.
Our wedding does have a fantasy theme. For those of you who would like to add a bit of fantasy flair to your formalwear, please feel free to do so. We have provided some inspiration boards below. You can click on each of the boards for further details.
This is entirely optional, but if you happen to already have something that fits one of our boards in your closet (or you’ve been looking for an excuse to treat yourself), we are happy for you join in our theming as much or as little as you like.
You can't go wrong with the classics
For suits, mixing in earthy colors and textures can let you look like you're ready to party. For dresses, layering on a corset top or vest on top of a blouse and skirt can add a little whimsy.
Adding furs, gems, or other metal accessories can be a great way to spice up your outfit. Metallic fabrics can also represent dwarves' love of precious metals. FYI, a tartan kilt is considered formal.
The fair folk are known for their flowery nature. Incorporating floral prints, colorful fabrics, or nature themed accessories will help give you that otherworldly outfit.
Few excel more at dressing up than elves. Adding vintage flair or flowing fabric are a great way to capture the aesthetic of these fantasy beings.
We know many of our guests are frequent attendees of Renaissance faires and other costume events. If you have an outfit that would be suitable for court, grace our wedding with your noble presence.
