Question

What to wear?

Answer

For Women: Dresses and Skirts: Long, flowing dresses in earthy tones like forest green, deep maroon, muted browns, or natural linen. Fabrics such as wool, linen, and cotton with simple Celtic or Viking-style embroidery along the hems and sleeves work beautifully. Shawls and Cloaks: A soft, woolen shawl or cloak in deep colors, clasped with a decorative Celtic brooch, can add warmth and charm, especially in an outdoor setting. Accessories: Opt for jewelry inspired by Celtic knotwork or Norse mythology, like silver or bronze bracelets, rings, and necklaces. Flower crowns, made of wildflowers like heather, lavender, and herbs, are a lovely addition to tie into the natural surroundings. Footwear: Choose rustic leather boots, flat sandals, or simple flats in earth tones. Embellishments like small silver buckles or fur trim give a nod to traditional styles. For Men: Tunic and Trousers: A wool or linen tunic in natural shades like olive, brown, or grey, paired with dark trousers or breeches, captures the Viking feel. Tunics with subtle embroidery or knotwork at the neckline and cuffs enhance the Celtic theme. Cloaks and Belts: A short cloak fastened at the shoulder with a Celtic or Norse-style brooch adds character, especially if the cloak is in rich hues like deep green or charcoal. A leather belt with a small dagger sheath or pouch is a fitting touch. Accessories: Leather bracers with Celtic designs, simple metal rings, or necklaces featuring Thor's hammer or Celtic symbols are ideal. A small, decorative pouch can be worn on the belt for added style. Footwear: Sturdy leather boots, ideally weathered or in a rustic finish, are appropriate and practical for an outdoor setting. For Children: Attire: Children can wear mini versions of tunics, cloaks, or simple dresses, also in earth tones. Natural fibers like linen and cotton make the outfits comfortable.
