Kevin and Keisha first met in 2003 when they began working together. They were coworkers first and then became friends. Kevin enlisted a coworker to get Keisha's phone number, however, that didn't go as planned. The coworker had the last two digits of her phone number wrong so when he tried to call her it failed. Not to be out done, Kevin tried another tactic, several days later, and managed to get the correct phone number. After Kevin left Big Lots to purse other career opportunities, they formed a friendship that would end up growing into so much more. They began dating in February 2010- actually Valentine's Day. The couple would make Red Robin as their go-to restaurant for many dinner dates. Even though he is very quiet and she is outgoing, they are great together. The couple appreciate each other's individuality and differences. On Saturday, September 14, 2024, while cruising on the Detroit River on Kevin's cousin's boat, and knowing that he wanted to be with her for the rest of his life, Kevin got down on one knee and asked Keisha if she would marry him! After coming back from a momentary blackout, Keisha said yes. As Kevin's mother Shirley, and cousins, Derald and Gerald looked on; he placed a beautiful diamond ring on her hand.
