This is our long but beautiful story... David and I met when we were kids (I was around 8 or so and he was 10), our mom's worked together and were best friends in Fort Worth. We even lived a couple of houses apart in Lake Worth (Samson Park, he corrects me) when we were in elementary school in 1989. We became friends and loved each other quietly for the next 18 years. I have loved him since I was 8 and we would swing in the tire swing in his front yard on Graham St. He was so shy; I had no idea then that he loved me too. I moved away to Aledo in 1990 and then to Amarillo in 1992 and he moved to Springtown in 1990. We kept in contact over the years writing letters (we are that old). I went to his Senior Prom in 1997 in Springtown and he went to mine in 1999 in Amarillo. I wore his football picture button on my mums to Homecoming, even though we were 316 miles apart (coincidentally Caprock and Springtown were both Orange and Black). Life happened and he earned his many degrees and I had the three most beautiful children. When I moved to Bowie in 2007, I contacted him and we dated for a little bit, but as it turns out, we are both stubborn! We connected again in 2010 and were engaged in 2012 but never made it to the alter. I kept asking myself why our timing was always off, but God had a plan. Kadi my (now our) oldest daughter graduated in 2017 and invited him to her graduation. He walked in the door and I knew in my heart I wouldn't let him go ever again. He gave me my engagement ring back, that he had kept all these years, on my birthday in 2017 and we decided to finally make it official and keep each other for forever. We have so many amazing memories over the years and can't wait for what the future holds! He is my best friend, he loves my children so perfectly, and I couldn't ask for more! We are about to embark on such an adventure of being parents, soon-to-be grandparents, and husband & wife! You could say it was a "Taylored Love" just for us!
