We met when the two of us were invited to a 4th of July party that was hosted by our mutual friends, Brandon Jones and Taylor Zimmerman (now Jones). They had planned a cornhole tournament that day and everyone had to pull a number out of a hat to assign teams. Everyone pulled their numbers and I was kind of looking around watching people find their partners and I see Jeremy walk up to me and say “do you have number 7?” After I told him that I did, he proceeded to introduce himself and then he smiled, which may have been the moment that I first fell for him. Taylor and Heather kept bugging me all night, asking if I thought he was cute. I didn’t want to sound too eager so I just said “he’s alright” and laughed it off. We didn’t win the tournament but we all had a blast that night. In my attempts to flirt with him, I accidentally tossed a firecracker in his lap. The next day I added Jeremy on Facebook and I immediately messaged him. After only a couple conversations, we decided to go out on a date. He planned a group date at a Dirks Bentley concert. We hit it off right away and have been inseparable ever since.
