Love was in the air and the sun was shining bright on this winter day! It was our five year anniversary, and WHAT a five years it had been...we planned a relaxing day together with all of our favorite things - a big breakfast, coffee, and dinner reservations at Enzo's (our favorite restaurant on Arthur Ave!). We decided to go for a walk to enjoy the beautiful weather, and to *of course* get more coffee...because why not? Who knew we would come back from that walk ENGAGED and with champagne instead of coffee! Well...obviously Steven did, because he got fully dressed for the day in his "anniversary best," and despite his best efforts, Keira threw on a sweatshirt with leggings and sneakers... We set out on our normal route around the neighborhood when the urge struck Keira to diverge from our normal route. Steven insisted we get back on track (he always does), and we walked to the pond near our apartment, our favorite spot. Keira got distracted by the TWELVE ducks in the pond (there are usually only two there that we like to pretend are our pets in the wild). Was it a sign?! As Keira talked to the ducks, Steven slowly turned her around to face him, went into his pocket, and got down on one knee...and the rest is history!!
