The beginning of our always. Join us as we say “I do.”
We met in the club when neither of us was looking for a relationship. It really was just a night out. But as we were leaving, I rubbed boo's arm and said, “bye boo.” That was it. Simple, quick but it stuck. From that moment on, we never stopped talking. FaceTime every day turned into real conversations, laughs, and getting to know each other on a deeper level. We started seeing each other a few days out of the week, and one day I went over boo’s house… and never left after that. It wasn’t planned. It just happened, and it felt right. Our relationship hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been real. We’ve been there for each other through some very hard times, including losing people who meant everything to us. Death isn’t easy for either of us, but through the grief, it was always us leaning on each other. Keiona has been the steady one, the mature one, keeping us grounded when things felt heavy. She brings a calm that holds us together, especially as I is step in my 30s and growing into myself One of the biggest blessings in our relationship is the way boo loves Kori. Watching that bond grow makes me smile more and more every day. Kori doesn’t just have a stepmom, she has another mom. There’s peace in knowing that when one of us isn’t around, everything is still okay. Our family is covered. Sometimes it really feels deeper than just love like a soul tie. We move in sync, even when we don’t realize it. At one point, I stopped cooking until I got a ring (half joking, half serious), not knowing that boo was already planning to ask me to marry her. Looking back now, it feels like we were always on the same page. Now, here we are choosing each other, building our life, and preparing to say “I do.” What started with a simple “bye boo” turned into a partnership built on love, growth, maturity, and family. And we wouldn’t change a thing. With love, DaShawn & Keiona 💍✨
